About

The Students’ Union of the college is an elected body of all the regular students. It collaborates with faculty members and the college administration to ensure the overall development of the college. The union serves various purposes for the students and also works for humanitarian causes.

The Students’ Union organizes different cultural programs to observe important days such as:

  • Swami Vivekananda’s birthday
  • Republic Day
  • Rabindra Jayanti
  • Nazrul Jayanti
  • Independence Day

Additionally, the union organizes different programs to observe cultural activities like:

  • Freshers’ welcome
  • Annual sports
  • Annual social events
  • Bhasa Dibas

These activities aim to nurture the sense of respect for our Indian cultural heritage.

The Students’ Union and NSS unit also work collectively with the College authority in holding various camps and initiatives, including:

  • Blood donation camps
  • Thalassaemia detection camps
  • Eye check-up camps
  • Tree plantations
  • Granting free studentships

The General Secretary (GS) of the students’ union represents the Governing Body of the college. On behalf of the general students, she provides specific suggestions regarding different academic and administrative matters to the G.B.
